My Motivation To Obtain A Degree In African Studies

It is an honor to apply for a Masters of Arts in African Studies. The concentration I have chosen will be African colonization with modern politics. Africa is a key region of the world with its rapid economic growth and political revolution. Nigerian political instability is a growing problem since I left my country in 2015 to study at the University of the United States. It’s for this reason that I chose your university to study African Studies. I hold bachelor’s levels in Global Studies and Political Science at Idaho State University. In my undergraduate studies, I conducted some research into the political crisis in Nigeria and Africa. My research focused on Boko Haram Fundamentalism in West African Region as well as Sino-African Relationships. My case studies were about Chinese Influence in Nigeria and Zimbabwe. It was only after many discussions and meetings that the program application was accepted. This is because it has been a useful tool for me to help create a sustainable and effective government in Nigeria. In the recent Nigerian elections for senators, I was working with some candidates so that they could see what their constituents would gain from them. In addition, I set up a Foundation in Nigeria, which aims to eradicate poverty, send young girls to school, and provide a quality education at established institutions in the region. The foundation can also help women start small businesses that will boost the local economy. Funds are raised from around the world by donors to support these businesses. It is encouraging to see how well the plan has worked out. The foundation was wired to work with drug agencies that can help break the addiction cycle. A foundation is also set up to provide crucial conservations, which will put future teenagers on track.

The foundation provides vocational and soft-skills training and education to underserved and gifted children, in order for them to be able to achieve upward economic mobility. The foundation will also provide job placements to graduates by creating sustainable employment channels.

The foundation will also provide assistance directly, as well as through the establishment of social welfare organizations that will assist in rehabilitating women who are in distress. This includes widows with no support system and those who have been neglected or abused by husbands or family members.

I have also worked closely with Idaho State University Students Affairs to monitor the welfare of internationals students and especially Africans in the local community. The goal was to build a strong relationship between students, universities, and communities. The student affairs advisory board is where I currently sit. I know from experience that I was appointed to the committee so I could represent African students, and communicate their concerns in international language to the university authority. It will be an honor to work with Professor Merle Bowen (Ph. She has done extensive research in Politics in Africa, and the African Diaspora. It will be an honour to work with her and the other students in my program. Through this program, I can gain valuable skills that will allow me to work with Africans leaders and young Africans all over the world.
