My Indian roots brought me up to want to be a computer scientist. It thrills my heart to actually be in a position to control machines and solve problems. Studying computer science is for me a fun challenge. It’s exciting. It’s like an academic utopia. It is my top career goal. I was a brilliant student and often won the top spot in my class.
I set out to get into the best universities. My current undergrad college, BITS Pilani where I have just completed my freshman, has been consistently ranked amongst India’s top five. My thoughts on higher education have changed and matured over my many trips to the USA, even though I didn’t realize it. When I was 12 years old, I was full of excitement when I went to the States. We went on summer vacation. We saw many places in the states. It was amazing. I visited the schools of my cousins and found them to be warm, friendly, and a catalyst for education. I went back to America in 2009 with the intention of doing my undergrad there and then going on to America for my grad school.
Now, after having visited colleges and learned about the higher educational system in America, I am certain that I will be doing an undergraduate degree at this school, majoring in Computer Science, to help me reach my goals and prepare myself for graduate school. Rutgers has a long history of alumni, and a cousin recommended it to me.
Rutgers University is the ideal place to launch me on my career path. It will also help me gain values and build confidence. Rutgers is a beautiful campus with active student clubs and activities. It also has a distinguished faculty that conducts cutting-edge research. This makes it the perfect place for motivated students.

As a former soccer player who represented my school and the city, I’ve learned that education is incomplete without extracurricular activities and sports. Rutgers has a wide student population and strong alumni network. It is a great place to make connections with people from all walks. Being shy like I am, Rutgers will allow me to get to know people from different backgrounds and help me to become more confident. Rutgers’ education will make me a better person. I am excited to be a part the vibrant Rutgers community.
