The Visa Crisis – Why Graduating Students Refrain from Applying for Jobs in USA and EU

According to the National Office of Statistics, approximately 670,000 American students are allowed to study in the United States. 193,000 of these students also have visas for entry into the United Kingdom. Research also shows that only a tenth of these students receive working visas in order to find employment as professionals in either country. This is why?

This essay attempts to address the question raised in paragraph 1. I will use facts from the US Immigration Office to illustrate this point. They state that H-1B visas for approximately 19,500 American students are issued annually. This figure is in contrast to the 600 million who have an F-1 visa.

First, it should be noted that the low acceptance of skilled professionals does not reflect an individual’s intelligence. This is because international students who study in the US do better academically, but are still not well-equipped to work.

The second is that they are not a security threat. An average American student stays 3 years here without breaking any laws. It is clear that these issues are not money-related but rather political.

Let’s look at how H-1B visa admissions work to support my claim. According to statistics from immigration, more than 100,000 people apply each year for the H-1B visa. But only a few are granted this visa. This process is not inexpensive. All applicants must pay a specified amount before being considered.

Accordingly, revenue generation is the key factor.
Students bringing in money to the country can apply for F-1 visas. H-1B visas, on the other hand, are rare unicorns.

It is crucial that countries be open with students considering coming to study in order to give them the best chance of understanding their options. Inventions are essential to the success of a country in today’s society. They don’t need to be made by local students or former international students.

This concludes the English 101 essay on the topic of students migrating.
